Choosing the right photographer for your newborn photoshoot is so important. There are lots of different styles of newborn photography. Some photographers offer posed sessions, some photograph with a backdrop, some photographers style is lifestyle or documentary based and others use full props and flash photography.

It is important to think about how you would like your photos to look. Do you like a more natural style of photography? Will you love these photos in ten years time?

I specialise in a natural and emotive style of photography using natural light, so you can expect your session to be a mix of lifestyle and posed. Personally I love a slightly more natural style of newborn photography, having a studio which looks homely instead of using a backdrop and also not using lots of props helps to achieve this look. I do place your baby into natural positions on my bean bag in a way that looks cosy and feels comfortable, but do not wrap them tightly or place them in any props. When I take photos of the rest of the family with your baby, I give prompts so that you get the very best out of your session and feel comfortable whilst doing so.

Everything about my newborn photography is natural and comfortable. It is such a special time in your life and I want my studio to feel like an extension of your home where you can relax as a family and capture this magical time in your lives.
