what to expect at your dorset newborn photoshoot

I can’t wait to welcome you into my cosy newborn photography studio in Corfe Mullen, Dorset. Let me tell you a little bit about what to expect during your session.

When you arrive I will welcome you in to the bedroom attached to the studio. Here you can put all of your things, feed your baby, change nappies, relax on the bed and make yourself at home. I will offer you a coffee, because who doesn’t need a coffee during the early days.

The whole session is led by your baby. So we start by getting them changed, and I will show you all of the gorgeous baby rompers and nappy covers you can use. Usually babies will wake up when being changed or become a little unsettled, so there is plenty of time to give them a feed or snuggle them back to sleep.

If your baby is then settled and sleepy, I will usually start with the individual photos of your baby on the beanbag. During this time I also take little details of hands and feet etc.

We then will move on to family photos, all of you together and with each parent. At any point if your baby needs feeding, you need a break or a snack, then there is plenty of time for this. You should feel relaxed and comfortable during your time with me.
