I absolutely love doing maternity photography, and with the Dorset coastline as the chosen location it added an extra sprinkle of magic to the photoshoot. We were blessed with blue skies and a warm early Autumn evening.

What worked so beautifully during this shoot was that Sophie’s husband and son joined the first half and then whilst they went home, the second half was spent taking photos of Sophie on her own. This gave us a chance to get some extra special empowering maternity photos as well as some family shots.

Sophie wore a dress from my client wardrobe, which can be worn done up or open to show your bump. Owen (Sophie’s son) decided he didn’t want his tshirt on either, so as ever, we are led by the children during a photoshoot, so off it came.

I always give som prompts to help you get the most from your photoshoot. Sophie said this really helped her.

The sea was still warm, so of course we ended the session in the sea.
